The last generation electronic power components - IGBT, SIC-Mosfed, etc.. - are able to switch currents of hundreds or even thousands of Amperes in shorter and shorter time, therefore we have to realize connections among the components of the system - such as semiconductors, filter capacitors, etc. - normally connected to the Bus - minimizing the inductance.
The busbars, designed and built by EC &C, provide a solution to this problem. The busbars are designed according to the philosophy of EC &C based on a development of the project side by side with the customer technical department, possibly from the early stages of planning, so as to arrive quickly and cost-effectively to identify the best possible solution.
The technology used for the insulation, based on the use of a polyamide resin, allows morphologies of the busbars otherwise unattainable.
Modular System for Power Electronic Converter.
The modular open source system proposed by EC&C is composed by a variety of physical subassemblies (modules) provided with their own mechanical structure, which simply connected together, allow to realize almost all the kinds of power electronic converters. The modules are also provided with a standard electronic card, that allows to interface with the necessary signals and power semiconductors.
The whole power converter is controlled and diagnosed by powerful cards equipped with the latest generation DSP.
These cards can also be interface to the fieldbus.
The control board provides outputs to interface directly the most common touch screens available in the market.
This approach reduces the loss of time determined by the necessary contemporaneity in designing the electronic power subassemblies, the interfaces and drivingcards, the control board, the man-machine interface systems and the systems of remote diagnostics. Of course, after the phase of prototypes or preseries EC & C can support, if desidered, the phase of the economical optimization of the project.
Custom Electronic Card and SubAssembly
When the modular system proposed by EC&C is unable to meet the market demand, EC&C can develop boards and subassemblies according to customer specifications.
Furthermore, sometimes, after a first phase of "proof of concept" performed using the EC&C modular system, it is advisable re-engineer the converter so as to achieve the desired economic, dimensional and productive objectives.
In these cases EC&C is able to develop the product, in cooperation with the customer, up to the achievement of the targets.
- During design or ex built analysis of reliability (MTBF and FMCA) of converters or electronic boards.
- Cost analysis of the converters or of the electronic boards.
- Hardware and firmware design (optionally developed using the EC&C modular system and appropriate simulation softwares).
- Support to the companies for the management of Quality according to UNI EN ISO: 9001-2015 mainly in the design and production area.
